Sound just stop working for you? Here’s the quick fix that worked for me:

  1. Open the Terminal app or search with ⌘+Space, type Terminal and hit Return.
  2. Once Terminal opens, copy and paste the command below.
$ sudo killall coreaudiod

3. Hit Return then type your password, then hit Return again

This will restore sound immediately!
